A Great 12th Annual Conference at NAIM!
|
Thanks to Thomas Ball for a fabulous National Association Of
IRB Managers (NAIM) Conference! The conference was held May 4th and 5th in Atlanta. If you couldn't make it this year,
or (heaven forbid!) you haven't made it in the past -- be SURE to put this conference in your calendar for next year!
It was wonderful meeting
up with some of our current users (Centennial Medical Center, Nashville; Community Medical Center, Toms
River, NJ; Deborah Heart and Lung Center, Brown's Mills, NJ; Florida Hospital, Orlando;
Maricopa Integrated Health System, Pheonix, AZ; Memorial Health, Savannah, GA;
Oakwood HealthCare Medical Center, Dearborn, MI; St. John's, Detroit, MI; and Willis-Knighton Health System, Shrevesport, LA [I hope I remembered everyone!])
and meeting so many new faces!
On Friday, we gave a presentation, "The Future of IRB Software". During the presentation, we provided some tips on what
to look for in an Electronic Submission product, and we utilized some examples from CyberIRB to emphasize our points.
If you are interested in receiving a copy of our presentation, or if you are considering adding CyberIRB
at your facility, please contact Cheryl at Cheryl@ProIRB.com.
Consider joining NAIM and becoming certified with a Certification in IRB Management (CIM).
IRB Managers, members and researchers who have earned the CIM certification status have an up-to-date knowledge base of IRB requirements to achieve successful research management outcomes. Certification in IRB management also provides acknowledgement and recognition of one's institution's commitment to quality.
More information can be aquired at www.NAIM.org.

Thanks for making our Webinar a HUGE success!
|
As we mentioned in a previous newsletter, we put together 3 classes for a Webinar series, and offered the
advanced classes to all of our current users. We are absolutely thrilled at the response we received from
our customer base, and look forward to offering these classes again in the future for those of you who could not attend this session.
We had 7 Webinar Charter Member Institutions and over 15 participants joining in on our series! Whew!!
What a crowded electronic classroom we had! If your institution is interested in participating in a future
series, or you have an idea for a class subject, please drop us a note at Cheryl@ProIRB.com

Thank You! Donna Ostroff
of Graduate Hospital! |
Donna Suggested that we add the OHRP Determination letters to our website!
As she said:
"I am very partial to the determination letters as an educational tool.
I copy and distribute them at IRB meetings when we have had a similar topic for discussion.
It provides the members with the problem and what the regulatory people have suggested as a solution.
"
Thanks for the idea, not only for our website,
but for all IRB Administrators looking for great educational material!
Check out the Determination Letters, now on our website, at www.ProIRB.com
As a token of our appreciation, we sent Donna
a Health Care Worker Stress Ball! Have you gotten yours yet?
